About Hailey Bosek

  • Hi, I’m Hailey Bosek — a St. Louis native now happily calling Chicago home. I’ve always been driven by curiosity and a love for storytelling, which led me to pursue journalism at DePaul University, where I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s in journalism and a minor in political science. I later earned my Master’s at Northwestern’s Medill School of Journalism, where I focused on magazine writing and multimedia storytelling.

Over the past five years, I’ve reported and edited everything from breaking news to long-form features across Chicago. I’ve worked both behind the scenes and in the field, producing investigative pieces for WTTW’s Chicago Tonight, reporting daily news at WBEZ, and leading a newsroom of 58 student journalists as EIC of 14 East Magazine.

Whether I’m pitching story ideas, conducting interviews, or staying up late perfecting an article, my passion for journalism is always fueled by the same goal: to tell stories that matter and connect people to their communities.
